Our journey began in the 1990s, when a young collector purchased his first ancient coin — a Roman bronze from the time of Constantine. That single piece ignited a lifelong passion for history and the tangible connection coins provide to civilizations past.

Over the decades, this passion evolved into deep expertise spanning Ancient Roman and Greek coinage, Medieval Islamic and Indian dynasties, the vast numismatic heritage of British India, and the rich tradition of American coinage.

In 2020, Numis Hobby Shop was formally established as a registered business in New York, bringing the founder's collection and expertise to a global audience. With a background in research and technical analysis, every coin is examined with a scholar's eye and a collector's heart.

Today, our archive holds over 4,000 carefully curated specimens — each authenticated, researched, and documented to the highest professional standards.
